Mid-term Exams (10% each)

The first exam will be on Chapters 1 and 2 of the textbook. The 2009 Exam 1 and it's solutions are now available.

Another Practice Exam (Exam 1 from Math 341 Fall 2008) has been distributed. Solutions to this practice exam are also available!

The second exam will be on Section 3.1 to 3.7 and Section 5.1 and 5.3 of the textbook.
The
Fall 2008 Exam 2 is available as are solutions.

Here is the point distribution for 2010 Exam #2. The average was a 33 and the median (and mode) was 34. The Exam Report is available as is the Take-Home Version of the Exam.

Cumulative Final Exam (20%)
The final exam will be on Monday December 13 from 6pm-9pm. Half of it will be on everything since Exam 2 (5.4, 6.1-6.5) and Half of it will be cumulative (on errything in the course). This final exam will not be optional. The Final Exam review session will either be early on Monday December 13th or on the weekend (Sun Dec 12th?)

The topics of the ten questions on the Final Exam are:

2) Bifurcation, Phase Lines, Equilibria, Stability
3) Hamiltonian and Gradient Systems
4) Equilibria of Nonlinear Systems, Linearization, Jacobian, Eigenvalues
5) Solving Linear System of ODEs
6) Nonhomogeneous and Homogeneous Problems
7) Phase Plane and Slope Fields
8) Heaviside Function and Delta Function.
9) Laplace Transforms and Initial Value Problems
10) Separation of Variables

 

The solutions to the 2010 Exam 1 and 2010 Exam 2 are now available.

A Practice Final Exam is the Fall 2006 final exam by Prof. Gallegos.
