Writing Assignment #3 (25 points)

Objective: Reflect on the future of LGBT rights while demonstrating familiarity and facility with web 2.0 tools

Write a long  (1-2 page / 250-500 word) blog post on some contemporary topic involving LGBT rights. One particular topic you may want to discuss are some predictions about what the future holds for LGBT rights in the United States and beyond.

The intent of this exercise is to give you an opportunity to demonstrate your creativity regarding written expression of ideas. Here are some suggestions:

• Use bitstrips to produce a short cartoon strip that expressed your thoughts (with included commentary putting the cartoon in context)
• Record and upload a video or audio file detailing your thoughts on the subject (with a transcript included)
• Create images or include excerpts of text from other online sources (properly cited!) and then include your commentary to analyze the included material and clarify what you want the reader to understand from it
• Use wordle to create a graphical representation of one of your papers and analyze what you learned from tha graphical representation of your writing as a "word cloud"
• Use tumblr or flickr to produce a photo essay
• Something else of your choice!

The basic requirements are that the word count be fulfilled and that you be taking advantage of web 2.0 technology in some fashion.

If your choice does not include the ability to include text, then write a personal reflection (250-500 words) that discusses what you learned from the exercise or what you intend to communicate through the visual imagery.
