Objective: Reflect on the media depictions of sexual and racial minorities.

Choice 1
Write a short (1-2 page / 300-500 word) reflection on the depiction of sexual minorities (LGBT people) in the popular media, as analyzed in The Celluloid Closet.

Choice 2
Write a short (1-2 page / 300-500 word) reflection on the depiction of racial minorities (African-American, Latino/a, Asian/Pacific Islander, Arabic, etc.) in the popular media, as analyzed in Ethnic Notions.

REMINDERS
1) NO LATE PAPERS OR ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL.
2) PAPERS SHOULD BE DOUBLE SPACED, IN 12 POINT FONT WITH 1-INCH MARGINS.
3) YOUR NAME SHOULD APPEAR NOWHERE ON THE PAPER UNTIL THE VERY LAST PAGE.
