I am excited to be starting a new position at the University of Washington, Tacoma where I will be developing and teaching the undergraduate mathematics curriculum at a growing institution. It's quite a change from my previous position of the last two years as Executive Director for the Association for Women in Mathematics. During that time I had the privilege to occasionally teach for the University of Puget Sound  and Pacific Lutheran University. For more than twelve years, I taught at Occidental College in the Mathematics Department where I was promoted to full professor and served as Department Chair.  For more information about me, follow the link of your choice:

• I am co-editor of Math Horizons a magazine for math enthusiasts of all ages published by the Mathematical Association of America.
• I was honored to receive one of three Mathematical Association of America's Deborah and Franklin Tepper Haimo Award for Distinguished College or University Teaching of Mathematics at the 2007 Joint Mathematics Meetings in New Orleans.
• My book Proofs that Really Count: The Art of Combinatorial Proof  (co-authored with Arthur Benjamin) was awarded the 2006 MAA Beckenbach Book Prize at the Joint Mathematics Meetings in San Antonio. The on-line presentation from MathFest 2003 of the same name is available.
• My acceptance speech for the Graham L. Sterling Award at Occidental's 2005 Convocation has caused quite a stir. The text is available for those who missed it or would like to refresh their memories. I also started an FAQ to answer the many queries from students, parents, and others. Additionally, I have posted a copy of the editorial for the Occidental Weekly that I wrote in response to a request from its editor.
