About Dana Plays
This year the Consortium for the Visiting Artist Series is delighted to present Dana Plays, the first artist & filmmaker for our series, "Artists and the Moving Image". Dana Plays is a filmmaker, video and interactive digital media artist and Associate Professor of Film at Occidental College in Los Angeles. Her work has garnered numerous awards, including some from the Black Maria, Ann Arbor and Houston International film festivals. Her works have been featured at the Seattle Film Festival, the Pacific Film Archives at UC/Berkeley, Cinemateque in San Francisco, the Whitney Museum of Art in New York, the Montreal Nouveau Film Festival and the Leipzig Documentary Film Festival, among others.
Dana Plays will speak on October 23rd
at 11:30 AM at the Spartan Theater. Plays will also
speak on October 22nd at noon at the EWU Art
Auditorium and at 7:00 PM at the NW MAC Auditorium.
